Originally rising to fame under the name Máscara Dorada in CMLL (Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre), he quickly gained international attention for his lightning-quick offense and breathtaking top-rope maneuvers.
He would go on to compete in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), further establishing himself as a global star. His unmatched agility and resilience earned him the nickname “The King of the Ropes”, and he lived up to it night after night.
In 2016, Gran Metalik joined the WWE roster and became a key member of the popular trio Lucha House Party, where he dazzled fans weekly with gravity-defying performances. From WrestleMania appearances to standout matches on 205 Live, RAW, and SmackDown, Metalik showed the world that lucha libre was not just an art—it was a weapon.
